Staff Selection Commission, Southern Region (SSC SR), New Delhi has given an employment notification for the recruitment of 244 Chemical Asst, Section Officer & Other (Group B & C) vacancies
Applications are invited from eligible candidates with Nationality/Citizenship for the Selection Posts indicated in the Notice from 25-08-2017 to 24-09-2017 up to 05:00 pm

Eligibility criteria
Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age : Candidates age should be 18-25 years for post-1,2,10,20,
18-30 years for post-3 to 8,11 to 19,21 to 27,
18-27 years for post-9, 18, 22, 23.
Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. instructions.
Essential Qualifications as on 24th Septemember, 2017
Conservation Assistant – 10th class pass along with Diploma in Civil Engineering
Technical Assistant – Bachelor Degree with Hindi and Economics as a subject from a recognized university
Scientific Assistant – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Electronics with 02 years of experience.
Assistant Research Officer – Master Degree in Regional Language from a recognized institute with Hindi and English as a subject at Bachelor Degree level.
Wildlife Inspector – Bachelor Degree in Science with Zoology as a subject from a recognized institute with Diploma in Wildlife Management.
Senior Technical Assistant – M.Sc. Degree in Agriculture (Agronomy) froma recognized university or institute.
Investigator – Master Degree in Linguistics from a recognized university.
Technical Clerk – Senior Secondary School Certificate from a recognized university.
Junior Conservation Assistant – 10th class pass along with Diploma in Civil Engineering
Junior Analyst – (i) Masters degree in Social Work or Sociology or Criminology of a recognized
university.
(ii) Two years experience of research or field work and collection, compilation and interpretation of Statistical
data from any organization handling statistical data whether Central Government, State Government or in
private sector.
Sub Editor (Hindi) – (i) B. Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University or
Institute with Hindi as a subject upto 12th level in the 10+2 system or equivalent.
(ii) Two years experience of writing or editing or compiling articles in Hindi on topics related to
Agriculture or in audio visual presentations or exhibitions in Hindi medium on topics
related to agriculture.
Chemical Assistant – (i) Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or institute.
(ii) Two years experience in chemical analysis or Research in a Govt. Department or Autonomous or Statutory Body or Recognized
Institute or University or Public Sector Organisation (Undertaking) or listed Private Sector organization.
Library & Information Assistant – (i) Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library and
Information Science of a recognized University or Institute.
(ii) Two years professional experience in Library under Central or State Government or Autonomous or
Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or recognized Research or Educational
Institution.
Research Assistant (Environment) – Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences/EarthSciences/Botany/Zoology/
Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology or bachelor’s Degree in engineering/technology in
Environmental Sciences/Bio-Technology from a recognized University/institute.
Research Investigator (Forestry) – (i) Possessing Masters degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Forestry or Economics (with
Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) or Mathematics (with Statistics) or Agriculture (with
Statistics) OR Two years Post - Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from a recognized Institute/
University.
(ii) One years experience in collection or compilation or analysis of data including data in Agriculture or
forestry work.
Senior Geographer – (i) Masters Degree in Geography of a recognized university,
(ii) Two years experience in the field of Geography or Cartography in representation of economic data on
maps and of drafting reports.
Upper Division Clerk – (i) Degree from a recognised University
(ii) Working Knowledge of Hindi.
(iii) must be able to type in Hindi at a speed of 30 words per minute on computer only
Assistant Research Officer (Hindi, Regional Language-Telugu) – For the post of Assistant Research Officer (Hindi)
(Masters degree in Hindi or masters Degree in Sanskrit
with Hindi as an elective subject at bachelors degree level
For the post of Assistant Research officer (Regional Language)
Masters Degree in the regional language
Scientific Assistant (GCS Cadre, Non-Gazetted) – B. Sc with Botany or Zoology or B. Sc in Agriculture
Section Officer (Horticulture) – B. Sc. in Agriculture or Botany or Hort. or M. Sc in Agriculture with specialization in Hort., or M. Sc. in Landscaping/architecture Floriculture
Stockman – 12th Class Pass and Diploma or Certificate in Livestock
Assistant (Accounts & Statistical) – Degree in Commerce or Economics or Statistics or
Mathematics
Investigator (SS) Grade-I – Masters Degree in Anthropology or Sociology with specialization in Village or
Community study with special reference to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.
Assistant Archaeologist – Master Degree in Indian History with Ancient Indian
History or Medieval Indian History or Master Degree in Archaeology or Anthropology with
Stone age Archaeology as a subject or Master Degree in Geology with Pleistocene Geology as a subject
OR
Master Degree in Sanskrit or Pali or Arabic or Prakit or Persian or Tamil or Telugu or Malayalam or Kannada
or History of Art with Ancient or Medieval Indian History
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Masters Degree in Chemistry or Physics of a
recognized University and One year practical experience in examination of documents,
handwriting and type scripts.
Senior Translator (Hindi) – (i) Bachelors degree in any subject with Hindi and
English as compulsory or optional subjects
(ii) Bachelors degree in law (LLB)
(iii) Two years experience in legal matters or translation of legal matters in Centre or State or Union territory dministration or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Public Sector Banks.
SSC SR 2017 Application Fee & Mode of Payment: Rs. 100 (One hundred only)
Candidate may note that only online applications will be accepted at www.ssconline.nic.in.
All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.
Payment can be done through State Bank of India only either in the form of challan, generated on line, or through SBI Net Banking.
Payment can also be made through any Credit or Debit Card.
